girl getaway

Friday afternoon I set off for a last minute chance at a girl

getaway with my oldest and dearest friend.

Little did I know the two hour drive would become nearly four.

But I was alone.

I had pandora.

And I got off the stagnant freeway to take PCH.

And it wasn't so bad.

I arrived to this view.
We spent the weekend walking along the shore, working on these
making lots of yummy food
and smoothies.
Doing girly things like this,
and of course lots and lots of talking.

Reminiscing about the past.

Planning for the future.

Sorting out the present.

Oh, it was so very much what I needed.

I didn't even know how much.

It was such a well timed blessing.

And a nice wrap up to this summer that

is quickly drawing to a close.

"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul."
Psalm 23:1-3
